Central Australia's
Dark Skies Festival
The Dark Skies Festival celebrates Central Australia’s uniquely dark night skies. 5 artists from 4 countries sent projection art which was exhibited outdoors at night during the festival, at the Earth Sanctuary, accompanied by live music by local musicians, and astronomy talks, telescope viewings, workshops, and more!
The festival was presented as a collaboration between the Earth Sanctuary and The Artist Expedition Society.

On Ancient Earth
On Ancient Earth is an exhibition about the relationships we have with the night sky. Projection and sounds based works by 15 artists from 8 countries were exhibited outdoors at night at The Earth Sanctuary in Central Australia exclusively for the night sky. This exhibition was co-curated by Lumen and The Artist Expedition Society.
On Ancient Earth: Artist Talks
The Artist Expedition Society and Lumen came together to present On Ancient Earth, an exhibition of artworks paying homage to the relationships we have with what lies beyond the outer edges of our Earth’s atmosphere. To compliment the exhibition, we hosted a series of live online artist talks which are available to view here.
